Yangshuo is based in the south of China and so has a sub-tropical weather pattern, with a brief monsoon influenced period. This weather leads to many unique looks and feelings.

The temperature drops to an average of around 9C (48F) during the coldest times around January, while it can reach average temperatures of around 28C (82F) during the warmest period of year between July and August.

The best weather is generally considered to be between April and November when the temperatures are milder and the scenery is lush green.
